What are everyone's thoughts on cloth napkins with plastic plates and utensils?

I agree with @Sparky_B. I'd personally be pretty thrown. I also think menu really dictates if fake silverware is sufficient.

I was always of the mind that plastic/paper should NOT be at a wedding. Well....when the daughter wanted a casual barn wedding with a BBQ food truck, we had to re-think that.

We bought fabric tablecloths (what am I going to do with 25+ purple tablecloths?). Along with burlap and lace runners. And wood-looking plates, made from palm leaves. The linen-looking dinner napkins are very soft, but the color of kraft paper. Clear plastic tumblers in 2 sizes - small for wine, larger for beer, lemonade, iced tea. And heavy duty silver plastic flatware.

My caterer is only cleaning up the food area. We are responsible for the dining area. So we went with disposable. The caterer offered to include the tableware in the contract, but we wanted to buy it ourselves, so that we could choose it. She only offered a basic white plate.
