reading vows from phone?

My fiancé wants to read his vows from his iPhone. That makes me so annoyed. He was on his phone texting/ messaging with his friends throughout our engagement dinner. I would have said something if I'd known he was going to propose! Should I let him read from his phone or veto the idea? FYI he didn't...

Should I let him read from his phone or veto the idea? FYI he didn't ask, he said, "you know I'm going to read my vows from my phone, right?" (It was also the first time he'd mentioned writing our own vows.

That would drive me bananas. I would flat out refuse. Good luck! I pretty much rejected any second date from a guy if he was on his phone at all during a first date. Huge turnoff.

But again, I have a flip phone and refuse to get a smartphone. I also take the bus everywhere. I guess I'm an old lady in a 29-year old body.

Right in the middle of the vows the screen goes black, or battery dies

My BFF and her husband did this when they got married (4 years ago) and it was super cute. They are both Apple whores so it was appropriate for them to read their vows from their iPhones. I don't think we will be doing that because it isn't part of who we are.

I had a very tiny wedding and we both just read it off our phones and it think it was fine! We both sobbed during our vows and so did everyone else - it didn’t take away from the moment what so ever. It’s the words that matter not if it’s on paper or a phone ..
