Re-thinking my burlap runner..

I was really wanting to do a burlap aisle runner.. but now I'm rethinking it. I know I'm going to have to have some way of weighing it down on the sides so that as I'm going down the aisle it doesn't roll up behind me as I'm walking lol (I was planning on using mason jars for that) but it got me to...

I was really wanting to do a burlap aisle runner.. but now I'm rethinking it. I know I'm going to have to have some way of weighing it down on the sides so that as I'm going down the aisle it doesn't roll up behind me as I'm walking lol (I was planning on using mason jars for that) but it got me to thinking would it be cheaper to just buy an aisle runner at walmart ($20) than buy the burlap and whatever other materials I need to weigh it down with (I have access to plenty of mason jars.. just not sure what other materials I would need past the jars)? What do you ladies think would be the best route?

Looks like her profile has been removed.

Never mind she made a new one same name and pic though.

You can put the candles against the pews too... incase you are afraid of knocking them over.

and I thought she was Mrs. Williams back for revenge for us flagging her last week.

Or I may just buy the aisle runner from Walmart and maybe add some burlap accents to the white runner?

Even the runner from Walmart (or anywhere else) can move as you walk on it.

What about double-sided tape to hold down the runner? Would not recommend sand in Mason jars because it would be a mess if it spilled (rocks would be better in the jars). If the church would allow candles in the jars, make sure they are low enough inside so as not to catch fire to train, veil, swags, guests' dresses, etc.

Good Luck with everything, and just think, you can have the big wedding at the camp grounds now!

Outside - long nails into ground; inside carpet tape (double sided heavey duty) works great on burlap

Thanks for doing it! still gives me an idea of how it will all look together, The pews at the campground are about the same color and I DEFINTIELY plan on using a burlap runner at the campground Smiley smile

BUT - please don't put candles on the ground - I had a bride nearly light herself on fire with mason jar candles on the sides of the asile.

Those LED pillar candles would be very nice, though
