Re-issued baptismal certificate

How long should you get a newly issued baptismal certificate before your wedding day? Im getting married in California and im not sure if its 3 or 6 months or it just depends on the parish? Thanks!

I think it depends on the parish. Call the church where you're getting married and they can tell you.

My church just requested to get mine and I have an October wedding. I think it varies and I would just ask the office or the priest.

I would check with your parish to see what they or your diocese/archdiocese require. We met with our priest last week, and he said our baptismal certificates just need a 2019 date.

    Hi there Smiley smile

I would be thinking along the lines as the PPs and advise you to reach out to the parish and get their input.

Have you done so yet? What was the answer?
