Rant.. am i wrong for be snappy?

I just called the place I got my dress!! Now they are saying mid to late October!!! Ummm no! My wedding is November 30th and it's a destination wedding and will need to leave town before then and it’s a holiday before my wedding and you're not leaving me with 2 weeks or less to get my alterations done! She said on Monday I'll talk with my CEO to see about getting a rush added and you'll have to pay for the rush cost.. I said I will not pay for a rush fee because the first time I was told Mid to Late September then the first week of October.. so the latest I'll accept it is the first week in October! I said I paid for my dress in full and spent $2300 with you and that i didn't have to buy from you I chose to, so you all will pay for that rush fee to get it here. That girl didn't know what to say after all that.. I am PISSED!!! I didn't cuss them I just gave them an ear full!!! So after getting off the phone with that lady I emailed the CEO myself and explained what was going on.. All the times I have called the CEO is never there so I want to make sure she gets my message one way or another.
I have been very laid back and not stressing out about this wedding very much but this here has set me off into bridezilla mode. I’m still trying to calm down from that call.

    You definitely have a right to be upset!. That is absolutely crazy! I would keep calling and emailing until I got what I needed done. I'm so sorry this has happened. I hope it all works out for you.

    I just don’t understand how it jumped from mid to late September to mid to late October.. that’s just insane to me.. so yes Monday comes after i get off work, I will be giving them another call. I’ll call every day until I speak to the CEO myself.

    Nope!!! You have every right to be acting this way! That is very wrong of them and I hope it works out in your favor bc that’s just awful and veryyyy nerve racking!!

    Ugh! My dress arrived a month later than the shop hoped and I was STRESSING (it took 8 months). After working at a bridal shop I found out the designers won’t commit to a delivery date! It’s like a 4-6 week buffer estimate. And now a dress can take even longer to get through customs. And if there’s any disaster in the US (flood, fire, hurricane), that can delay shipping further.

    When you talk to the CEO ask her to get a status update (is it still in production? Did it ship to US yet?). It’s not likely her fault but if the dress is coming 4-6+ weeks later than originally told, try and get some part of the rush shipping comped (the designer won’t cover costs, the shop has to pay. At least she can split it with you if you didn’t receive any other discount at time of purchase (eg trunk show discount).

    I did not get any discounts.. I paid full retail price so therefore I will not be paying any shipping cost, they said as long as I ordered in February my dress will be here so I was there in February and paid. I know I’m gonna have to have alterations done cause they ordered me a size 18 and I have lost more weight since being there. I had a friend that went to the same shop after me and her wedding was just last weekend. They told her her dress would be here the first week in July. Well it was.. so why is it that I ordered mine before hers and it’s still not here? I want to make sure I have more than 2 weeks to get my alterations done and not be stressed about it.

    The owner, Rhonda Regiss, just called me..She is really sorry that the girl who told me that date shouldn’t have been telling anyone a date in the first place cause she didn’t have access to what all the system sees.. but she said that my dress is expected to be here not next week but the following week, give or take a few days. She was really apologetic and said she just walked in the door from her Louisville store and read that email and had to call me right away to see what is going on and to let me know that she does checks on her brides dresses very frequently. She is also going to call Madison James on Monday to get an update on the shipping info and let me know. So now I’m a little more relieved about my dress situation.

    Yes I can! I’m so happy that what the girl told me was incorrect info.. I wouldn’t have stressed as much if the girl knew she wasn’t suppose to give dates out and just said I’ll have a manager call you on Monday when she returns. As the CEO was at her other store for the day and the manager was out of town for a wedding. So I hope the girl learned a lesson from this one that turned into a bridezilla real quick. Lol.
    So now I’ve been trying to get rid of my headache that she gave me.

    Wow. That must have been really stressful. Now that you have the ear of the CEO make sure you keep holding them accountable until you have the dress in hand.

    Not at all! I would be doing the same in contacting them daily because they’re not leaving you with enough room for alterations and you’ve been given multiple time frames. Honestly end of oct. is just too late. I hope everything works out for you

    I don't blame you at all!! You have every right to be upset!! They are being ridiculous!! I wish you the best of luck girl but just remember, you are not in the wrong!! They are!! Act the way you must to get what you deserve!! And you deserve your $2,300 dress in the time frame you were originally given!!

    You definitely had/have to be pissed and worried it wont be to you in time. I would be calling and emailing every day! Annoy the crap out of them until you get your dress.

    Yes girl all BS that could have been handled a different way. But talked to the owner again today and she said it’s shipping out to them on either the 17th or 18th and it should be at her store between 23rd-25th but no later than the 30th. Still in the first time frame they told me so I’m good with that 😊
