My FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves and we have substantial careers, but what are some ways you guys raised some extra cash for the wedding/honeymoon fund?

I have been selling clothes and shoes on Poshmark. I like this wayyyy better than Mercari. I feel like Mercari isn't safe enough and way over priced. Whereas Poshmark is so much easier. More Guarantee that everything is done safely. I have made over $700. I have also put aside things I haven't had luck selling on Poshmark to sell at a big garage sale. and I found a dress on Poshmark too. That still had the tags on it and that is worth more than $1500 and I only paid $150 and free shipping for it.

We made some organized excel spreadsheets of the vendors, amounts due, payments made, balances, due dates, etc. That really helped keep us organized. We cut all other spending down to bare bones. Every single item for the wedding is budgeted and almost the cheapest we could find (lots of DIY and alternative vendors for things like the flowers and dress). We may get a small personal loan. We are also paying for it ourselves.

I'm a teacher so I've signed up to do some extra subbing to keep more cash on hand. My FH is a teacher too so he's been doing the same. Plus, we are sticking to a budget so we don't owe anything come the day of. Shouldn't spend what you don't got!

Unless we can find another way to recover quick, we're considering a food related sale which is popular in my area. We would be making the product with the supervision of an individual who is considered to be one of the area's "masters" for the product. Yes, we would be using the profit to help with our wedding, but I don't see the issue considering we would actually be selling a known and respected product. I have no right to judge someone else, but I don't feel right simply asking for donations. I'd rather sell something that someone will get their money's worth out of.
In a perfect world, our budget would never have been an issue. We made our budget, set aside an emergency fund and opened a savings account for wedding expenses. It was smooth sailing, until we had some hefty, unexpected bills pop up all in a short span of time (car repairs and A/C repair just to name a couple) that caused us to have to dip into both our emergency fund AND wedding savings. We had already paid non-refundable deposits at the beginning of the year so it's not like we can just add time to our engagement, and our families have their own bills to worry about.
