I'm sitting at the hair salon and I just overheard a conversation about a couple who is selling raffle tickets for a pair of football game tickets to raise money for their wedding. This person thought it was a really clever idea too...

    Thank you for saying that!

We started out with the wedding we could afford. And then the pressure from family came down hailing on us. My sister and dad told me they were embarrassed because our wedding was going to look cheap.
We could not afford a DJ, real flowers, or a professional decorator. All of which we ended up getting.

I was looking forward to my wedding until it became an event for everyone else's enjoyment. And for me to stress about.

Our wedding is still considered really cheap as we are at 11kso far. And will be hitting just under 15k. But initially we were going to be at 8k. Now that will take us several months possibly a full year to pay off.

And I should mention that my family that pressured me is not in any position to help us with the wedding financially. We are doing everything ourselves.
