I understand you being upset as this is super frustrating. I think as of now you need to plan ahead. Contact the venue and the photographers and see what can be done to still make the day special for you both.

Omg!!!!! This is happening to me too on our wedding day 10/10! Every day around it is sunny EXCEPT Saturday!!! It's making me furious too, and feel like after everything with covid we just can't catch a break. 😔 I wanted my ceremony outside in the beautiful outdoor space. 😭 Just gotta pray it changes, and keep positive. Weather is very unpredictable you never know what could happen. 🙏

If it helps, our wedding forecast was to be rain and then it changed to just rain in the morning, and two days before no rain at all. We got a tent rental company involved and within days they had it all worked out. Clear top tents provide more heat (like a greenhouse) and can help keep guests warm. ❤️ Sending you and all brides this Friday and Saturday prayers for good weather🍁

First of all that’s almost a week away and the weather can change so don’t panic, but definitely prepare a backup plan.

Selecting an outside venue automatically includes a 50/50 chance of poor weather. So I’m sure the venue has a rain contingency plan. If not, definitely begin figuring that out now instead of later. I’m a former 10/10/20 bride and hoping that everything works out for all the couples that day.

I'm the 10th as well and haven't looked at our local weather yet but I almost just want to buy umbrellas in case. We have a backup plan, but it's not ideal so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed!

It’s foreseeable unfortunately but you have to make a backup plan when planning things outdoors. It is a week away and the forecast could change. But I would come up with a Plan B too

It’s still a week away, weather can change so much in the next 7 days. Find out what your venues backup plan is (I’m sure they have one). And have you seen rainy wedding pics on Pinterest? Holy crap they are gorgeous and downright magical. Obviously we all want a pretty sunny day for our wedding so it’s okay to be disappointed but when you look back on the day what you’re going to remember how much fun you had and all the good things that happened. At the end of the day it’s about you and your FH sharing your love for each other and the weather doesn’t change that.

Contact the venue & see what the backup plan is. This is just another bump in the road!

We got married last month in Asheville, North Carolina and I watched the weather every hour everyday because we wanted 99% of our photos outside and the entire ceremony and reception outdoors- I even cried a little two days before because it was 80 and sunny everyday we were in Asheville up until the wedding and it said 40-70% chance of storms the night before at 2am when I checked lol it ended up being all possible weather that day- rained for 5 minutes during pictures just enough to get a picture with our cute clear umbrella, pure sun- sucks for photos, overcast, etc. my photographer made us feel better and said overcast is the best weather for photos, definitely don’t want sun. A lot can change!!! It is out of your control at this point. Sending you best wishes and great weather! ❤️

I just got married Friday. It poured ALL day until our priest got to the venue and then it cleared up. Honestly, I made myself sick in the week leading up to the wedding constantly checking the weather and I really regret doing that because it was something I had no control over. I know it’s hard not to check, but I would make a rain plan and then stop checking.

Things can change a lot by the weekend.

We had to cancel our wedding due to Covid, but my mom got a cancer diagnosis just 10 days before so we ended up having a super small elopement on our original date because we didn't know what her prognosis was. Our ceremony was outside (and we didn't have an indoor alternative because of Covid) and I wanted to re-wear my dress for our wedding. The entire week leading up to our date rain was forecast for the morning, and I was worried my dress would get really dirty AND this was in May so peak Covid time and nothing was shipping quickly so I couldn't even buy a cute umbrella or anything to prepare for it. It ended up not raining at all and we had beautiful weather for our elopement day.

You cannot control the weather, but you can plan for it. Know your backup option for your ceremony if it rains, buy some cute umbrellas for you and VIPs, and remember that marrying your person is AMAZING even if the situation surrounding it sucks. Rain will not dampen your love.
