Ok WW... I just need to hear some positive stories about people who were totally rained on the day of their wedding.

Yes we have a back up inside location and such, but I'm still disappointed...trying to get it all out of my system before Saturday so I can have fun and keep a positive attitude the day of. I get to marry my best friend, so I know I'll be happy at the end of all of it.

As of today they are calling for 100% chance of rain all day, over 2 inches of rain and temps in the mid 50s. I need to hear something other then "it's good luck".

    I think it's supposed to rain everywhere on the 13th. I will be picking up some umbrellas tomorrow.

    We were forecasted for light rain to start about two hours before the ceremony was set to begin. We were able to get all pictures finished (by a miracle, I swear) about 20 minutes before the sky opened up. When I say it poured, it poured. The interstates in the area were flooding. The materials from the construction site next door to my venue blew into the streets and were blocking the guests from accessing the parking garages. I lost my veil in the road as I was running inside for cover. My aunt was the MVP for the day and brought hair dryers to the venue so the wedding party could set their hair and outfits. Our ceremony was indoors, yet in our wedding video you can hear thunder in the background because it was so loud.

    But at the end of the day, DH and I were married, our ceremony and reception were indoors so everyone was mostly dry, and we got a super cool picture with a pink sky after the rain stopped later on in the evening.

    Clouds = Great lighting!

    And I didn't care if my dress got dirty, so bring it! (also dry cleaning will get all the dirt out so even if it gets a little speckled with mud, it's not permanent and will come right out with the cleaning. and if that still upsets you, throw back some wine until you don't notice it anymore)

    One of my friends was supposed to get married on a river boat on lake Austin but they had to cancel because of torrential rain and flooding. Friends and family and the coordinator scrambled and everything worked out ok. They ended up going to a hotel with an inside garden for some pictures and then the ceremony was at a church building. Not at all what they planned but they got married and that was what mattered.

    Yep rain here too! Got some cute rain boots and a white umbrella that my photographer recommended decorating with sharpies. It's the last on my to do list. Have seen the weather change five times in the last two weeks. Not stressing about it yet Smiley smile
