Well the weather report is in for Saturday. Rain ALL day. Talk about being upset. FH says it's okay but I'm very upset about it. I fell in love with the venue because of the outside opportunities for pictures. Now my pictures will be of walls. And if one more person tells me rain is good luck I think I'll scream. Really that's what you tell the bride to make them feel better about themselves. I'm so upset. I've even contacted the venue about it hoping that they can come up with places for pictures that won't make me cry when I see them. Wedding stress has reached a high.

I think outdoor rain pictures if done properly look really cool.

It'll be alright in the long run! Don't let the rain get you down! Just remember who will be at the end of the aisle and it'll all be worth it. Try a few rain shots.

That's definitely a disappointment. I would/will be upset too. Especially when you look forward to it for so long.

I'm hoping you did think ahead when you booked your venue and did remember there was a chance it could rain, and hopefully the inside of your venue won't be too bad??

And like others have said, everyone will make it work and you will have beautiful photos and a beautiful wedding no matter what! Don't let a little rain ruin the day you've been waiting for for so long

Unless the weather report says 100% chance of rain there is a chance that wherever your wedding is....it won't rain. But why be bummed over something you have no control over? Roll with the punches. As other posters have said unless its a torrential down pour with thunder and lighting, you can get some beautiful shots. If you have a professional photographer, trust his or her instincts and enjoy your day. Everyday won't be rainbows and sunshine.

@Miranda... hi date twin! Yep I've checked in on the 14 day forecast... it has said rain for several days now! My ceremony is all indoors. Although everything at the reception could happen inside, I too picked my venue for the outdoor scenery. We can't control the weather.... all we can hope is that they got the forecast wrong.

My wedding from April said is was suppose to be thunder storms all day. It sprinkled a little bit very early in the morning and then was gorgeous the rest of the day. Don't stress because it might not rain

If you have a photographer worth their salt, they can get some really great rainy day shots. Also, umbrellas can be cute!

And wow, lots of us getting married on 5/20! We are totally outside (ceremony and reception) and plan B is just not even close to being as pretty. I've been checking the weather since JULY. I know. I'm psycho.

I know the last thing you want to hear is "don't stress" but seriously, try not to. I too picked my venue for the outdoor space and stalked the weather the last week and a half before the wedding. The day before the wedding it suddenly changed to thunderstorm warnings but the day of not a single drop. Things can change so fast with the weather and it's not going to help if you stress about it.

I completely understand. I hope it changes a bit for you. My wedding is Next year. And I've been looking at the weather for my date THIS year to try and gauge how it'll be next year. Lol (completely useless I know, but it makes me feel a teeny tiny bit better if the weather will be good this year. )

If it makes you feel any better, the week of my friend's wedding, her venue called to inform her of construction they were starting on the outside area... she was kinda pissed.

As long as you have the right partner to face all your future days whether rainy, sunny or something in between, you have won!

It rained and was cloudy all day for my wedding.

I just went around town and found spots that had gazebos or thick trees and it was fine! The photographers even said the lighting was PERFECT (usually the sun is too bright).

Calm down! It'll be okay! Just prepare yourself! Buy an umbrella and cute rain boots.
