Rain in Napa

It looks like the rain is mostly in the forecast for the morning and you are blessed to have a venue that can be moved indoors if needed (I'm sorry that's not your vision). It's a blessing and a curse, as we know CA desperately needs the rain. I'm sorry you are not pleased with your coordinator either especially since they have good reviews.

Thankfully forecasts can change so hopefully within the next few days the chance of rain clears up and you can have your outdoor wedding!


I understand the disappointment of having to move inside! I too had to move inside because of weather. My venue told me a few days before my wedding I was bummed because it wasn't my vision and wasn't what I really wanted but in the end it was great because my guests were comfortable! And I was comfortable!
Is there something specific you are wanting your coordinator to help with in this situation?

Rain forecasts can change so much! Our wedding (outdoor ceremony) was on Sunday 10/10 and I checked EVERY DAY within the 10 day forecast leading up to the wedding and 10/10 kept going back and forth between high % rain showers or possible storms. Even the day before, the forecast was basically the same. I was devestated. On the day of? It drizzled a tiny bit in the morning and it was perfectly sunny the entire rest of the day


Good thing you have an outdoor back up plan. Venues and coordinators can only do so much. No one controls the weather. Hope for the best but prepare yourself for your backup! Good luck!

It rained in Napa on our wedding day. We were so upset but it worked out even better! Because it only drizzled during first look photos the lighting was spectacular (and no squinty eyes). Our venue moved our outdoor lake ceremony to a patio behind the lake which fit our vision even better. The rain added a magical element to the day. Get an umbrella for cute photos. It’s super annoying but it could turn out even better. 🌧 🌈

Have you looked into tent options and heaters? The tents are pricey up there but maybe you can still have your ceremony outside?

Im so sorry about this! You're on the home stretch of this! I know its extremely upsetting that its not your vision but what choice do you really have? It's going to be awesome!
