What are some good questions to ask a wedding DJs and photographers??? I’m currently in the process of searching for both vendors for my July 2022 wedding and I would like to be as prepared as possible!

    For DJs, ask about:

-Do they include ceremony music, cocktail hour music, and reception music?

-Do they include uplighting or dance floor lighting?

-If you needed an extra hour day-of, what do they charge?

-Do they accept song requests from guests? If so, how do they handle song requests?

-What is all included in each package, and what is the pricing for each?

-How do they keep people on the dance floor throughout the whole evening?

    -Deposit amount?

    -Cancellation/postponement policies?

-If they are sick or an emergency comes up on the day of your wedding, will they send a replacement?

-How do they keep track of your must play/do not play lists?

    For photographers, ask about:

-Do they have a specific photo style?

-How long does it take to get the edited photos back?

-Do you have printing/social media rights with the images, or do you have to order prints through them?

-How many photos can you expect to receive?

-What is included in each package, and what is the pricing for each?

    -Deposit amount?

    -Cancellation/postponement policies?

-Do they include a second shooter?

-If they are sick or an emergency comes up on the day of your wedding, will they send a replacement?

-Do you need to provide them with a specific shot list, or do they work off of their own?

-Do they use the same poses, or do they come up with poses based on the environment?

-Have they shot a wedding at your venue before?

-Ask to see a full wedding album from a wedding they've photographed (preferably one at your venue). Pay attention to what poses they use, whether you feel their photos collectively tell the story from the day, a good variety of close up shots and zoomed out shots, color vs black and white, etc.
