I'm shopping around and just now realizing that even faux flowers that are nice cost almost as much as actual flowers! I've even watched YouTube videos to put together flowers and it seems that the look I'm going for would probably be almost as much as just as buying the faux flowers that are already made. SomethingBorrowed as very limited selection of centerpieces. At this point, I'm thinking that I should just buy fake flowers in hopes of re-selling. Has anyone found really cheap flower arrangements? I feel like I should probably just buy real maybe.

Also, has anyone tried to save some money buy alternating pieces of floral and non floral? I was thinking maybe I could do half floral centerpieces and the other half something else. Thoughts? Does that look goofy?

I was also thinking of something like this but with small candles as gold colored and maybe a rose or some flower petals. Still brainstorming!!

Would it be weird to do half of the tables with this centerpiece and the other half with a floral?

I’m thinking this with a single rose or two. Or even something of a simple floral arrangement like this to cut down on costs. I just want that gold and dark red contrast with maybe blush pink.

Not at all! I think it would be a nice way to break up the tables a little bit. My FH and I met in high school so I also considered adding a small framed photo of us from a special day on each table. One with a picture of us at senior prom, one at HS graduation, one when I got my Aggie ring, one the day we got engaged, etc.

These are both gorgeous!! I definitely think for table centerpieces, less is more. You don't need a full floral arrangement for it to be prettySmiley smile

I didn't put flowers in my centerpieces yet but I am using fake flowers for everything. I got mine for half price at Hobby Lobby and put them together myself. For just over $100 I made my bouquet, one to toss, 2 maid of honor bouquets, and 7 boutonnieres. I really like how they turned out and now they will last forever.

I personally am buying faux pearl flowers in bulk and using the wires to make them into bunches which will sit directly on the table.

2 of these will give me 14 clumps of ten each for under $20 with a few to spare and the pearls make it so they do not look like they were meant to be real flowers. these specifically might not be the answer for you but things are usually much cheaper if ordered in bulk.

I agree. I’m more so about a certain style and color scheme but I feel like I need a time least one flower, it just cheers things up lol. I have an appointment with Kroger (supermarket) floral department. I picked up bouquets for fiance’s Sis’ wedding and they were beautiful and only $50-60 for her bouquet! I’ve seen some florists charge $100-200. So I’m going to see how we can discuss things to meet my budget if not I’ll do it myself, the single ones seem simple enough for me to practice.

Im so thankful for this forum! Now I have some ideas rather than spending $40-50 on centerpieces.

I’m thinking of taking a trip to the craft store to put together a centerpiece and have an idea of how much it cost and what I can pull off. Lol , I’m somewhat crafty. However I would not trust myself with something like flower moxie two days before the wedding!

Check Tyra Perez on YouTube she has good wedding diy ideas. Also, check the 70% off floral sale that Michaels and Joanns does and if you have the time wait for the Black Friday sale.

I've known of people who have bought their flowers, including bridal party flowers, from Sam's Club (or try another membership store like that) and they were very reasonably priced! You do have to put them together yourself, but that's an option.
