Hey! I was just wondering, if a couple gets engaged after I sent out my save the dates and it was addressed to only one of them, do I have/should I to invite both of them to the wedding? I don’t mind, I was just wondering what ettiequte dictates? Thank you!!

I'm having an adult reception and I gave everyone a +1 to be courteous.

Whether or not they choose to bring someone is up to them, the guest list is within our budget/venue limit.

I don't think it's really up to me to decide the relationship of their plus one.

But if I know the name of a SO I'm putting that name on the invitation because like what has been said, a couple is a social unit with wedding etiquette and I feel it would be rude not to invite them whether they are engaged or not.

Meanwhile in the Facebook wedding group I'm in, someone is putting "legal spouses only" on their invitations 🙃

Oh god, that's awful! My fiance and I dated for 8 years, and lived together for 3, before getting engaged. I would be so mad if someone invited just one of us!
