Our wedding was supposed to be June 6th, now August 1st. We sent save the dates for June 6th. We decided not to for our new date because we spent a lot of money on big refrigerator magnets the first time around. We posted a video (music/pictures/video of him proposing) on Facebook letting people know we rescheduled. It was popular and thousands of people viewed it so we thought we were definitely good and that our 400 guest surely saw or heard. However, we have tons of people asking about our wedding all the time. How early are you sending out your invites? Should we send them out extra early? Will that cause problems?cfb_1393463.jpg

It seems to make sense to do it early! I am thinking late July as well! I need a final guest count 30 days before the wedding so I’ll give people some time (and the mail to make its way to where it has to go) to send back their rsvps.

It’s early to send invites but not outrageously so. August 1 is only 2.5 months away. So I’d go for it. I definitely wouldn’t feel confident that everyone would know the date change from a Facebook post— I know too many people that aren’t active users or that just don’t see everything, so I’d want to make sure to have my bases covered.

If invites are months and months early that can cause problems because people may set them aside and forget to rsvp on time , but at this point and especially following a postponement, I don’t think it’s a huge concern. Just be sure to give them plenty of time to rsvp — people may need a little extra time to make that decision in the current environment
