Punta Cana DW, Ocean El Faro??

Hey guys,

Im getting married May 02, 2020 in Punta Cana. Im having a little dilemma and wanted to get your opinions. Ive been using destinationweddings.com and after suggestions from the planner, we came accross a resort named Ocean El Faro. Now this hotel is brand spanking new, opened in January 2019. Its a BEAUTIFUL resort BUT the reviews so far arent as great as I would like- mostly for very slow service. My fiancee loves this resort and keeps telling rm that in a year it should be so much better, but im not sure if I want to take that chance, im very scared. The wedding package is amazing and I spoke to the wedding planner and she seems amazing. Im not afraid of the wedding itself, im more afraid of the resort not being up to par with my guest and hear complaining. Im not good with people complaining to me.


Ive checked other resorts but the less expensive ones im not fond of and the more expensive or same pricing, the wedding package prices are ridiculous!



what are your thoughts? Would you have your wedding there or no?
