Puerto Rico Honeymoon

We keep tossing around ideas for our honeymoon but continue to come back to Puerto Rico. We are having a hard time deciding where to stay if we do Puerto Rico. The only place I absolutely want to go to is visit the beaches on Culebra. Is that somewhere to stay for a week and not get bored(activities, food, sights, etc.) We have also talked about staying on Vieques and just doing a day at Culebra. I know we do not want to stay in San Juan. Rincon has also been a big recommendation but with wanting to do Culebra I don't know about staying on the other side of the island. We are also unsure about car rentals for our stay and if it would be necessary. Any Puerto Rico advice would be super helpful!

We have stayed in old san Juan and we loved it. We also have stayed in bahia beach.

Culebra for a week? Yes, absolutely. rentals? there's a car rental by the airport check that out.

Puerto Rico will be amazing for a honeymoon, Nicole!
I've never been but I would love to one day!
How long do you plan on going for? Could you squeeze in a couple of days in each place you want to visit?

We have about a week for our honeymoon. I'd rather not do too many locations in one trip as I'd like to relax too and not spend too much time driving.

In PR you can't squeeze places! It's not fun! You gotta be there until you're tired lol I'm joking of course but honestly, some places are just too good to squeeze in

No probs! I miss my little island. Also if you can take like a whole day to just go around PR, like the main island, it's so very worth it! You can go around Puerto Rico in less than a day but going to eat and bathroom stops, for comfort and no rush, a day.

I agree, based on reading it would be too hard to do places like Rincon and Culebra in the same trip. We had talked about staying near San Juan and taking a day to go to Culebra and another day to go to the Rainforest. I really dont want to short myself on time at Culebra because it looks AMAZING!

Also pro tip. GPS isn't so good down there. Just a heads up. Get a map!

Funny thing, was there my whole life and never went to Vieques and Culebra... Like, why?? I recommend avoiding San Juan as much as possible and just go to the fun places. San Juan has a lot but it's not as fun. Beaches is where it is giiiirl!

That's what I have been told. Just skip San Juan and do other places. I'm considering staying on either Vieques or Culebra because they are supposed to have some of the best beaches and I just want a relaxing honeymoon.
