I am out to eat with an old coworker. She is a bridesmaid in an upcoming wedding and here is the list of things she told me that the maid of honor is requiring them to do .. When the bride asked her party, they had to go out to a restaurant, pay for parking, their own drinks and food (I understand drinks and food.) there is a mandatory bridesmaids meeting at Dave n busters that requires a $36 entry that will go towards the bride and groom. The MOH is choosing the dress of her choice for the whole party to wear. The bride is requiring her girls to get airbrushed makeup.

My ex co worker asked me for my advice and asked me how I would feel if someone were to drop out of my wedding and how she should tell this girl she doesn't want to be in the party anymore. I don't blame her and told her to tell the bride PRIVATELY.

What a shit show.

ETA: oh. There's also a contract

I have a friend in a similar situation, she's planning everything for bridal shower/Bachelorette party and the bride kept saying no to pretty much every idea that was already in play. On top of that she's demanding they all use the same MUA and each bridesmaid pay their own

"I'm just not used to paying to go to mandatory meetings and having to do things I don't want to do. And I don't think its something I can get used to." Done.

I can't even begin to understand people like this. I would have told your ex coworker to run...after explaining why she's a terrible bride Smiley smile
