So we are getting married in my backyard and we are going to do beer/wine with 2 signature drinks. I dont want to stock a full bar. Here are some questions I have:

-When should I start purchasing the alcohol? Can you order it ahead of time then go pick it up?

-Kegs or bottles for beer?

-How big of a table do I need for the bar area?

-How many different types of wine?

-Are those beer/wine calculators accurate?

-What else should I know before purchasing all of this alcohol?

Thanks for your help guys!!

Start shopping around now and look for sales. They do happen!

I would do bottles over a keg.

I'm doing the same, just beer and wine. I've been buying bota boxes each payday (planning to have 8), and we're getting a half keg. We're also getting a case of bud light for people who don't like pale ale. We're only anticipating 70 people, but our friends are big drinkers, so hopefully it holds out!

Oh, if you can get to one, ikea has really inexpensive wine glasses! I bought a bunch and will be stocked for life (because I always break them).
