Programs, how to distribute?

Maltese, on May 6, 2015 at 9:23 AM Posted in Planning 0 19

Basically this is just a post to push back the spam....

I've got two options for the programs right now...

1. Set them on a table just inside the doors of the church

2. Let my 25 year old sister feel like she has some kind of job and pass them out. This is the option I'm leaning towards.

But not sure if I should just give her a stack of programs to hand out or should I find a basket or something for her to keep them in?

Suggestions?

Have her pass them out. No basket needed.

I think we are going to ask some of the GM to usher people in and hand out programs. I feel like people won't even see them if they are just sitting in a basket. And that will make me angry. I know people don't ever keep them but whatever.

Hand them out for sure. This is usually a job people in my family give to little kids who are a little too old to be flower girls/ring bearers but not old enough to be bridesmaids.

Or put them at the end of each row? I was also considering that.

Last wedding I went to with programs, they were on the seats when we sat down. Can an event coordinator so that? If not, have sister hand them out

I'm just having my younger brother & godchild pass out programs & 'send off wands' as guests enter the church.

I'm having FBIL's girlfriend hand them out. She will probably be my SIL someday, but we are not close enough for her to be a BM

    Go with #2

Usually ushers hand them out. I don't think everyone would take them if they were just sitting in a basket.

I'm leaning towards having one on each chair...we are making ours into fans.

I have two young cousins that can hand out programs, if they come. If they can't make it then we'll ask the groomsmen to hand out programs and help people get seated. We're also handing out bubbles with the programs, so people can use them during the recessional.

Have her pass them out. I only have three family members in the city besides my mom. I'm having my two cousins hand out programs and "direct" the guestbook table and escort card table.

I don't have any suggestions but I do have a question (and .... Bump lol). How soon did you print out your programs? Did you have someone print them for you or diy?

I think having your sister hand them out would be a good idea. If they're just sitting on a table, I bet most people won't take one.

I was considering putting one on each chair like Lara, but if you're looking for a way to include your sister this seems like a good idea. She doesn't need a basket. She can put the stack on a table and take smaller amounts every so often.

Will there be a picture of PGF in a circle with a line through it on there?

Wow i was just on the knot forums and they are sooooo rude, i saw some comments on here about it but dang. Is it rude to ask an adult to pass out programs? My brothers will be ushers and my SIL is a bridesmaid, but I was thinking my other brothers fiancé could pass out programs? But idk she is from FL she may just want to be able to see family. But the one person we have passing out programs may not want to (his mom just wants her to do something)
