Processional...how Many Songs?

Victoria, on February 14, 2018 at 2:10 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 8

I'm trying to find a resource for how many songs to pick for the processional and I'm failing. So our Processional order will be my FH with his best men, my two grandmothers, his great aunt, my mom, his mom, 4 pairs of bridesmaids/groomsmen, ring bearer, flower girl, then me. How many songs will I need for that?

I think just one for you and one for everyone else. You figure it’s not going to take that long for everyone to get down the aisle so you don’t want to keep cutting songs off.

My opinion would be have ft pick a song for him and bridal party to walk down you can pick your song for you to walk down, and both of you pick a song for you to walk down the aisle on

I was thinking 2 but I got nervous about our older guest moving it along down the isle lol. the two songs I have in mind would be 8 solid minutes of music, so theoretically that should cover everyone.

Are you using a DJ for your ceremony? I would double check with them too and see what they think since they have so much experience with this. They’ll be able to give you good feedback but I truly think your safe with two total Smiley smile

We had two songs. We had a violinist perform Silent Night while DH's daughter walked down the aisle to light the candles, then DH's parents came down the aisle (I don't have any parents and neither of us having grandparents living). Then the minister, DH and his brother came in through the church's side door and went up to the alter.

Then the bridal processional began with the violinist, cellist and pianist performing A Thousand Years as arranged by the Piano Guys instrumental version. Each of my 3 bridesmaids walked solo, about 30 seconds apart, followed by 2 of my 3 flower girls, individually. The 3rd flower girl helped her little brother (3 y.o.) walk down the aisle as he carried a sign that said "Here Comes the Bride" and then I came out.
