Where do all the guests go?

I've never heard of this, but my curiosity is piqued

Would this be after the reception is over? I've never heard of this, but go for it.

I've never heard of this either, though I am intrigued.

My first thoughts are that the guests will either appreciate the winding down or be bored and annoyed lol.

They explained sometimes it can take about 5 mins for guests to get lined up and have the lights or whatever props we will have ready. So while they are lining up we'd have the dance and then proceed to the exit. It sounded good at the time haha.

Someone did a BAM and included this! They said it was their favorite part. One of the only moments where she really was totally "in the moment".

I have loads of songs on a list of what I would do for a last dance. There are the obvious Save the Last Dance for Me by Michael Buble. Or The Way You Look Tonight. Or Lucky by Jason Mraz. I could go on with more!

I was about to say the same as FutureMIlitary. Laura Maria was a user that got married this fall and she did this. She loved it and it looked like a beautiful moment. Her coordinator ushered everyone outside and was passing out sparklers while they were enjoying their last dance. I don't think her guests even knew it was happening. They were getting sparklers ready. I have totally considered doing this but never got as far as picking a song!

I came here because I thought it said private lap dance. I stayed because it's a cute idea.

I really like this idea! I may incorporate this into my schedule!

I have never seen this done, but I feel like it would work better for a smaller wedding or there would need to be a REALLY good coordinator to get all the guests outside. I have worked dozens of weddings where half the guests never made it outside for the grand exit because they were still chugging their drinks/looking for their shoes/ helping gather decor, etc. I can also see curious guests hanging back to see what you and DH are up to, especially if they hear music. Usually when the DJ stops playing, thats a sign to the guests that the party is over.

I do think its a cute idea if it can be pulled off!

Honestly, I haven't heard of this, but it would be a good way to signal to guests that things are winding down.

We are using it in place of a first look! People talk about how great a first look so for that private time with one another. FH is so against a first look. So instead, we will do it at the very end!

However, we will have the barn doors open so people may be able to see us. So it's a slightly not private private last dance

I assume it'll be like a cinderella moment where its just them 2 and dance and have a moment to themselves if so go for it it sounds cute

This is the first I've heard of anyone doing this but I love it! I like it better than having an awkward first dance in front of the guests.
