Printing Place/name Cards

Kay, on September 24, 2018 at 4:49 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

Would love some advice on where to order name cards for place setting with printed names on them? Or to hear what people have done for this. My stationary person wants to charge $2 per card for printing the cards out with each guests names...thats the same price as calligraphy in my area and just more than I can budget for this.

I really want to avoid DIY because A) I have TERRIBLE handwriting and B) I know this sounds weird but if I had to cut out each card individually and fold them, they just won't turn out looking very good- I know its not super complicated but I know my skill level! Smiley smile

Have you looked on Vista print? There's look very nice and affordable and everyone on WW gives great reviews about them!

Yes but from what I can tell you would need to write in your own names? I am looking for something that will print the names out for you so they dont need to be handwritten. If I am wrong then please let me know but I just didnt seem to notice a section for name printing. Thanks!

I saw a suggestion so I looked into, and you upload an excel file with the names on it. Get the template from Avery (avery,.com) and search place cards (find the size/color you want (I will likely choose 6 place cards per page) the start designing. You can have them printed at staples or home if you have the place card sheets.

I see what you mean, I agree with Megan, minted actually prints there names. I did my invitations through them and they also addressed them and I was beyond happy with the results!

I'm buying a pack of blank folding place cards and I'll be printing out names on matte, clear labels in my text of choice and printing them out. Once I am happy with the font choice etc, I can just slap them on nicely and be done. I was completely shocked when I saw the amount for the place cards and thought oh no this has to have a better way to do it. Lol, get creative and unique Smiley winking

I used Avery's product #16109 which I bought from Office Max for like $20, it comes with like 150 total cards I believe that have perforations to fold out the cards. You select from a variety of designs from Avery's website and just type in the names. The website was really easy to use and it just took some time to type in the names, print it out, and then fold them out of the paper. This was the design I used to match my favor stickers and invitations.

Many shops on Etsy will print them for you but this may be pricey. We originally were going to have ours printed from a shop on there but ultimately decided on a framed seating chart.

I got a printer and used Google to set it up to print things. Saves so much money in the long run. I spent $80 on the printer and so far about $100 on ink but that pales in comparison to the price of someone else printing my stuff for me. I printed all the envelopes for my save the dates and they were gorgeous. It helped that I printed them at Wal-Mart, got silver lined envelopes for free and 80 save the dates for about $30. They turned out amazing 😁 if you are even a little tech savvy, I'd try it out. If not, Vista print and minted seem to be good. Cards and pockets is fairly cheap as well with decent quality.

Sorry, printed the save the dates at Wal-Mart. I printed my silver lined envelopes at home.* (WW, you desperately need an edit button).

If you're confident in your creativity skills, you can buy the card stock and use a variety of free websites to create your own and then just print them off!

Yes exactly this! This is what I am doing! That have so many great designs and you can change the font and make it exactly how you want it for just the cost of the paper! I bought 150 tent name cards from Avery on amazon for $20. I uploaded my list, picked the fonts and colors I wanted and I saved the PDF. I am going to take it to Office max to get printed so that I don’t have to use my home printer. It was honestly so simple and way cheaper than anywhere online.

We bought place cards that are already folded from Michaels. We also bought stickers with letters to avoid having to write the names ourselves. We are hoping it turns out okay.
