printable punch out tags?

Mary, on May 10, 2011 at 9:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

We're having little boxes of truffles as "favors" at our rehearsal dinner. I wanted to attach little tags, with people's names, and have them serve as place cards. The truffle people said that they could do it - for $1 each!

I am sure that someone out there knows of some pretty tags that I could run through my printer and then punch out. I'd prefer them not to be stickers, but just on cardstock.

Links? Brands? Stores to try?

Printable business cards? from the office stores?

I would suggest the free business cards from Vistaprint, but you would need to hand write all the guest names, Not sure if you wanted to do that.

Michael's and hobby lobby has different kits that could help you. I was thinking of using vistaprint.

Www.soho-paper.com has cute little tags in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and patterns. They are in printable sheets that punch out after you print them how you want.

I found some like that at Staples. They have tent cards, postcards and business cards on punch out sheets.

I'd rather be able to print them out on the printer (with a template).

I love the soho-paper ones, but hate to pay as much in shipping as for the paper. I only need 35-40 tags.

Maybe I'll try Michael's and see what they have to offer.

@Mary P - I think you are referencing die cut cards.

We were looking to print out our place cards with scalloped edges & run it through the printer.

It became too costly or difficult to find perforated die cuts or a printer that can handle card stock.

So we adapted & improvised & used clear labels to print people's name on & if you can find someone to die cut for you (luckily my sister is a scrap booker) then you are golden.

I think Etsy has some reasonable pre Die Cut cards. But like Haley posted, the first search would be the business cards.

I have purchased Gartner Studios tags at Michaels using a coupon of course. I have purchased both of these tags.

To attach it to the box, you could use a hole punch to and put the ribbon from the box through the tag.

There are templates at Gartner Studios online for printing. Yes, you can buy them online, but if you get a coupon at Michaels they are less expensive, and you avoid shipping costs.

The Chocolate and Ivory are $5.99 for 40.

The ivory with the scalloped edge are also $5.99 for 40

I have also used Vista Print's business cards for my candy buffet bags. I used pinking shears to create a border, & glued it

I couldn't get the oval scalloped tags to post, so I posted the pic of how I will be using them on my welcome bags.

Yahoo! @Carole That's just what I was looking for! I'll have to go to Michael's this weekend. I have some 50% coupons... It's going to be so much cheaper than the $35 they wanted to charge me (even if it's a little more work).
