weddingbee, on January 22, 2017 at 8:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 41

Hi! I know this is personal, so please don't respond if you are comfortable. I am starting to look at grooms/ groomsmen attire SOON. I want to know ahead of time what the cost to expect will be? Thanks so much ladies!

We are doing suits from Kohl's and FH is looking to spend less than $200. He's looking for all the deals he can too.

FH was a groomsmen in November. The cost was $225 for entire outfit rental from mens warehouse.

Our tux rentals from Men's Warehouse were around $225 with tax, and all of the extras (shoes, tie, vest, buttons, cufflinks) - and we used a $40 or $50 off each one coupon.

We picked a more expensive tux for the guys because we really like it - it's gray, and it fits with everything else. FH's dad is getting a tux that's black and about $50 cheaper.

Also, the price is the same if you have a child or an adult - so my 6 year old nephew (closer to a size 5 in boys) costs the same as my average sized FH.

ETA: we're renting 5+ tuxes, so we could either get FH's tux rental free, or a $600 credit towards a suit. We decided to pay for his rental, and get him a really nice suit.

Thanks ladies! I think we are going to mens wearhouse since the guys are all over the map it's easiest that way. That cost seems reasonable! I always like to know what I am walking into! Lol. We should be heading there within next 2 weeks. Picture is the look we are all going for

@victoria I'd go and check it out, you may like what they have, but when FH went he wasn't impressed :/

You can check out the rental options on MW website - and put the look you're going for together - we did that before we went and it made the process go a lot faster since we already knew the type of vest and tie we wanted.

It depends on what you want and if you're renting/buying. My FH wanted his groomsmen to wear kilts, and they were all on board, so we're buying the tartans themselves and then renting the jackets, vests, etc. It's coming to roughly $350 per groomsman, but FH was insistent, so that's what we're doing.

He gets so damn excited when we start talking about it that it makes my heart happy.

FH got his three piece suit at Macy's last fall. They were having a great deal on men's wear. It's a blue Michael Kors suit, we paid $220.

GMs went to Men's Warehouse. They got their suits for $159 each, which is a sale price.

Check local tux shop rentals too! We found one that is renting us suits, shirts, ties, vests, shoes, and socks for $169+tax. We checked at men's wearhouse and were quoted a little over $200 for a similar rental. And I personally feel better about supporting a local business than a big company.
