Ok so as some of you may know, I bought my dress yesterday (well actually my mother did). We went in with a budget of $1,500 and I went slightly over budget because I bought the veil too. So while I LOVE my dress and everything I can't help but to sit and think like "WOW I just paid this much money...

So while I LOVE my dress and everything I can't help but to sit and think like "WOW I just paid this much money for a dress that I will wear ONE time ever for a few hours"

Have any of you ladies felt like that?

I felt the same way for awhile. Especially since a friend of mine gave me a dress that fit perfectly for free. I just wasn't IN LOVE with it and it wasn't me. The feeling of going out, finding that perfect dress, and then getting to walk down that aisle feeling like the most beautiful girl in the world in it, to me is worth the price tag.

I plan on cleaning and selling my dress immediately, hopefully for at least 50% of what I paid. They is what made me feel better about spending $850 for a one time wear.

So I'm at the FIL's for the weekend but I couldn't help popping on...remember your dress is timeless! I think it has a very good shot at being worn again by a daughter or future daughter in law one day! The skirt is so complimentary that a bodice could be fashioned quite easily and they could add their own twist to it if they like...don't feel guilty because you could sell it and it is for a very special day. I'm going in with a smaller budget ($2000) compared to some but it's because I can justify spending more than that on a dress I will wear only once either...champagne and photography on the other hand are worth the extra cash lol...

    Smiley winking
