Previous Engagements?

I was engaged once before over 10 years ago. He was a high school sweetheart. We managed a long distance relationship through most of the engagement. Once we moved in with each other we realized that, as deeply as we cared for each other, we just grew apart. Unfortunately long distance makes it difficult to see.

We both were never engaged before each other. The longest relationship I had before him was 2.5 years. His was nearly a decade!

My husband was not engaged before us but his previous relationship was 5 years.

I was "engaged" once before to a guy I was dating for a couple of years before meting my fiance. I use that term loosely because we were in college, broke, and there was no formal proposal. A few weeks later we went through a terrible breakup when I found out he was cheating on me.

Nine months later I started dating my husband to be.

I was actually still legally married when I met my FH. We attended the same college and became quick friends. My marriage was already rocky and I expressed to my then husband that I wanted a divorce. We were together 5 years. I was the only one putting in any effort and then I noticed he was doing some slick ish. He would say things to make me stay but never change and I finally got fed up.

Once my FH and I started hanging out more, I started unintentionally gaining feelings for this fool . He knew my whole situation from the day he asked me out. He waited patiently and he was such a great support system throughout my divorce. I don't know how many guys would do that but I was very lucky and I couldn't be happier.

I was married to my high school sweetheart for 4 1/2 years. We meet in 8th grade and dated 8 years before getting married. We got engaged 2 years out of high school and married a year and a half later. A total of 12 years.

We wanted to start a family and weren't having any luck and I realized he hadn't grown up as much as I had and things got hard. We didn't communicate well and he was selfish and it just feel apart. I dated another man for 4 years who gave me my daughter but it didn't work out in the end and then I met my FH. We've been engaged for just over a year and are getting married in less than 4 weeks and I'm over the moon about it! 🥰 They say everything happens for a reason. ♥️

I had a few partners bring it up and once they did I realized there were a lot things I didn't like about our relationship and couldn't picture being together forever. Things generally handled themselves after that conversation.
I dated a guy for roughly two years and then off and on after that. I knew he wasn't the one after he gained about 100 pounds and gave *me* a diet book for Christmas 🙄
Although he did eventually apologize to me and said I was right about all his short comings and he met his own wife after finally took my advice. I'm honestly surprised and happy for him.

My fiancé is really the only “serious” relationship I’ve had. I was always more focused on school than dating and the few boyfriends I did have only lasted a few months. We we’re friends first and once we started dating we both kind of knew it was going to be THE relationship for us.

I've never been engaged that didn't result in a marriage. But first marriage was 19 years. And we'd known each other for seven years, and been together for two, before that.

Yes, I was engaged once before.

It was a hugely toxic relationship, it nearly killed me being in it and getting out of it, and I did have to cancel a lot of booked vendors.

It was a very close call, I'm so glad I got out.

Plus with the things I've found out that he had done, there was no way. I was aiming for a divorce whether or not I met my FH. FH just happened to be there.
