Postponing due to covid - Ideas for inviting guests to new date

Rebecca, on March 16, 2020 at 5:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

Our wedding was originally planned for 4/19/2020. However, with the new CDC restrictions we decided to postpone for everyone's comfort and safety. The new date is in August. How do you recommend inviting people to the new date? Should we send out a new mini-invite? The original invites were pricey.

Maybe you can try doing e-invites? I am sure your guests will understand, and you will definitley save some money! Smiley shame Hope it all works out!

I’m in the same boat! Waiting for venue coordinator to get back to me with dates available to postpone too. Thank goodness all my other vendors are being cooperative, hopefully they have the new date open as well. I’m sad but it’s what’s beat for everyone. I feel ya though. Invites weren’t cheap and to have to do it all over again, agh! Plus I already have things engraved with May 1st 2020 on it. Like do I really replace all of them!! Such a pain.

I just texted friends and had my mom and FHs mom reach out to their sides of the family. With everything going on, new invites were the last thing I wanted to do.
