To all my 2020/2021 brides, I FEEL YOU. What a crazy, unprecedented year it's been and - unfortunately - getting back to a relatively new 'normal' still seems months away.
My fiancé and I scheduled our wedding for Saturday, April 17 - our 12 year dating anniversary (to the day!) - and even booked our venue and most of our vendors back in the fall of 2019 after getting engaged July 31st of 2019. We decided to wait on the wedding as to save and prep with as little stress as possible but now, it's not looking like our April wedding is going to happen regardless and we are left waiting even longer.
Sadly, too, after inquiring with our venue (again, that we've had booked and planned since fall 2019) about postponing our date.. they only have Sunday dates in the fall/winter of 2021 available now.
It's a hard reality when all you want to do is be married but have also been patiently awaiting and dreaming of this moment since childhood.
Has anyone else been dealing with this postponement? Are you moving your April 2021 wedding? Is pushing back to 2022 insane?
