Just Said Yes October 2020

Postponed wedding

Diana, on April 2, 2020 at 2:30 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8
Hi everyone.. I just moved my Wedding from May 16, 2020 to October 2020. Invitations were already sent out and I didn’t get all replies yet. What is the best way to let everyone know? Just send new invitations with a note that we moved our day? Just looking to see what other people are doing and for some ideas😊 Hope everyone is healthy and getting through this awful time ok.

Send change of date/plans card. A lot of the invitation companies have deals on change of date/plans cards or invitations. Some even have a free reprint for invites if you have to change the date due to covid-19. See what the company your invites came from have. Good luck!!

Send a change of date card and then new invitations in late August.

Yes, i've been seeing a lot of brides saying the same. Check with the place you got your invites.

We did the same... Our invites can't be remade, and I refuse to pay for them again. So I bought these change the date cards that I'm sending out as soon as they arrive, and I'm having everyone RSVP on our wedding website. I just need a date to have them RSVP by. What a pain! Lol. Everything on this site was 30% off with free shipping 👌Postponed wedding 1

Thank you everyone for your input. I didn’t want to send out 2 different things. Do you think because of the situation it’s too early to send out a new invitation for October with it stating on the invite we had to postpone?

For the situation I would think it's okay? Maybe just give an option to RSVP later on rather than now? Curious to hear others thoughts lol

I’m in the same boat. RSVPs were due to me April 10. Have to get the word out. Spent enough money on them the first time around I don’t want to do it again but with the change being 6 months from now I’m not so sure. Trying to figure out best way to tackle it. Kind of thinking of having people RSVP now just because having a good idea of numbers helps. I do like the idea of the change of date card, will have to look into that
