Postpone? But when?

Elizabeth + Eric, on March 31, 2020 at 2:33 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

My fiance and I were planning our wedding in Italy in September. Now with everything that's happening I'm concerned about if it's still a good idea to go, will my guests feel comfortable to fly to Italy after everything?

Will they feel comfortable in September or should we postpone to Spring 2021?

I was so excited and everything was already booked, and our honey moon is to be in Italy, and now I just don't know.

Plus our engagement party has been postponed twice already, first due to my mom's health and now with everything thats happening.

It's been hard and I feel terrible even thinking about a wedding when there's this greater health concern happening.

It's just hard. Smiley sad

With Italy’s current situation, I feel that many guests won’t be comfortable going this September unfortunately. Hope that everything works out!

I would respectfully decline a International Wedding until a vaccine is out. I'm stressing out enough though about a few fall domestic weddings enough right now (and the possibility of this coming back). I feel really bad for anyone getting married this year. Wedding Planning is already a stressful situation, and with so much uncertainty its the worst Smiley sad

I'm so sorry, but I would postpone. Italy is the last place in the world anyone wants to be right now, and I doubt people will feel comfortable going in September (if things calm down and borders even reopen by then)

    Hi Elizabeth + Eric!

I'm so sorry to hear this -- of course this is stressful and upsetting. It sucks that you had to go through the rescheduling process twice for your bridal show and now you may have to do it all again. You must be exhausted. Do you need help communicating things to your guests? Have your vendors suggested moving your wedding date? If you need us we’ve set up a hotline at (833) 998-2865 where we can give support and advice.whIH-pZc0aWJOuBTAdAY5VNyGrZ8aBykYcgA-jFo We also have a guide on communicating your new date to your guests - How to Word Your Wedding Postponement Announcement.

    I hope this helps!
