Postage for your 5x7 Pocket Invite

Future Mrs., on May 30, 2017 at 12:11 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 13

Hello! We are looking at 5x7 invitations from Basic Invite with a reception card, rsvp card, and return envelope. We love the look of the pocket, and we are wondering what your postage cost you if you used a pocket on your 5x7 (not square) invitation. We are going to bring a sample to the post office, but in the meantime... help! Smiley smile Thanks!!

This is hard to say depending on the different weights of paper. I had a 5x7 invite with 2 cards inside and an RSVP envelope and mine was still 49 cents. The post office is the only one who can tell you for sure.

Depends on the weight of your paper and how many inserts. You're not going to know until you take it to the post office. Budget for extra postage and you'll be pleasantly surprised if you don't end up paying it.

Hello! We weighed ours and it came out to 70 cents.

I think that's the maximum size, for a regular stamp, but I think the pocket will make it bulkier, hence a higher cost.

That coming from someone who sent square, boxed invitations and learned the hard way.

Ours had the invite, rsvp and accommodation cards and we needed a regular stamp and a postcard stamp. So, 77 cents. It really depends on the weight and thickness of the papers. Adding in the rsvp envelope stamp, our total was $1.26/ invite.

Check with the PO. You don't want anything coming back because of lack of postage.

It depends on the weight and the thickness of the envelope with everything inside.

Take it to the post office and have them weigh it. Our pocket invites needed a 70 cent stamp.

We had 5x7 pocket with invite, RSVP and 3 inserts. We used the 2oz stamps. They were 70 cents a piece plus a regular stamp for RSVP.

Its all going to depend on the weight of your invitations. Honestly, I used the kitchen (little food scale) to weigh mine

We did a smaller pocket invite with an RSVP card, reception card, and RSVP envelope. We only needed one stamp. I was sure we would need more. Can you order a sample and take it to the post office to be weighed?

I sent mine in 5X7 inch with rsvp card and detail cards and envelopes, and regular postage worked. Everyone got the invites. It only matters if your invites are hella heavy or thick.

Ours was the normal one stamp. Our invites were 5x7 but we're in the ounce range for a single stamp.
