Post wedding snack: yay or nay

I've been seeing weddings wear couples will have an easy, midnight, post wedding snack or light fare. I've certainly have left weddings hungry before; not because there wasn't enough food, but rather because I get so caught up in the libations I forget to eat enough. After drinking and dancing throughout an evening, you build up an appetite! I'm considering serving a midnight snack-- as the area where my wedding is doesn't really have options for late night food. I think who hasn't had a night of drinking and needed something to soak up all that alcohol!? But my WP and fiance they it may be too much food and will go wasted. So yay or nay... I can't decide.

Thank you everyone for all your thoughts! Certainly helpful.... there isn't a place where guests could go to eat afterwards, so I've decided we'll serve some local light fare. We have a small group; only about 30, all of which who will probably stay till the end.

I probably won't purchase anything from the venue as a snack like that. Especially since our wedding ends at 5pm. I anticipate people being hungry later in the day since it's over a bit earlier in the day. So I know we will go and probably purchase family style food from a restaurant or bar as an after party. It's what we always do anyway for any occasion.

At my cousins wedding, we had a ton of amazing food. Then we went right to the bar and ordered dinner lol.
