Post wedding peeps... what is something you wish you did or thought of at your wedding that you forgot or didn't think of ? I'm just curious.

My parents and my husband's parents were married on the same exact day - September 26, 1971. We talked and talked about having the DJ recognize that in some way, then we forgot! ☹️ Of course we still pick ourselves over that. It's so easy to forget things that day!

I would have told the photographer who I wanted to make sure I got candids of during the reception. I prefer candids to portraits simply because I like the real smiles versus stiff ones (which my family excels at!) There are a lot of reoccurring faces of the people who are animated and really enjoying themselves. But a lot of my family who stuck to corners or were quiet are missing from the film.

I also wish I would have gotten a solo of my dad the day of the wedding. She couldn't make it to the reception later on (health issues), so I only have the group shots.

My sister didn’t get a photo with our grandparents, and they really regret that. Be sure to have a list of exact people if you want specific photos so that they aren’t forgotten, and have someone (other than photographer/bride/groom) to be in charge of making sure those photos get taken.

We forgot to have my FIL bless the meal! Ooops lol

I kind of semi-sort of regret not doing a first look. It wasn't an option because my husband was just 100% against it. I just feel like we would have had time for a few more with the bridal party that we didn't get. But overall nothing really for the ceremony/reception....it was perfect!
