Is There A Difference Between Having Save The Dates/Invitations Sent By The Post Office Or Buying Stamps And Putting Them In A Drop Box?

Our invitations had to be hand canceled, so we dropped them off at the post office. I've also heard of people having invitations get stuck in the sides of the big blue drop boxes. It only takes 2 minutes to drop them off and better safe than sorry.

I put our Save the Dates in the drop box and as far as I know didn't have any issues.

I would just make sure the postage stamp you’re buying is right for what you’re sending otherwise you could risk the chance of it not sending

I took mine straight to the post office. I didn't want to take any chances! If you live in a town that doesn't have a post office, i'm sure a drop box would be fine too.

I took them straight into the post office. I don’t trust the mail much anymore since one person a town over from me not even 15 minutes away didn’t get his for over 2 weeks. Another person his envelope was ripped open. Can’t wait to send out my invites! 😕

Sometimes, invitations have to be hand-cancelled (as in Caytlyn's case), because they are thicker, and won't go through the machine easily. They jam, they get ripped, etc. But other than that, there is no difference.
