Savvy April 2022

Posponed...? But life continues..

Karen, on May 4, 2020 at 3:56 PM Posted in Planning 1 2

Hello Ladies,

Sad to say we are posponing our October 2020 wedding for April 2021! So many mix emotions and just overall saddness. This was suppose to be our year. The year where we begin a new chapter with the person we love! But I believe it does not have to end there. I have came up with some positivity that have made me feel okay about what is going on. I believe it is working out well and I would like to share what my fiance and I have been doing.

1. Started a Journal

2. Created long and short term goals

3. Keeping Active/Healthy

4. Saving more money (a better honeymoon, financially stable etc.)

5. Plan thoroughly (Wedding dress shopping, bechelorette, honeymoon, cake, invitations, etc)

6. Get to know each other/ spend more time with each other/family ( Includes movie nights, cooking at home, play games that you have not played since you were like 10 lol)

These are just some ideas that we have came up with and TBH fiance and I did not even have a honeymoon destination that we had agreed on. I wanted to go to Australia (IDK why) and he wanted to go to Cancun. I think with being a year engaged or more and preparing your wedding will work out even better.

Anyone doing some fun stuff while in qurantine?

It's awesome that you have such a great attitude! I think you'll love your April wedding... personally I've always been a fan of spring/summer weddings, and fall is so trendy and popular right now I feel like it'll be nice to be unique and celebrate in the spring Smiley smile

I've been furloughed due to covid, so far I've taught myself to knit and bake pretty well. My husband and I keep joking that I've become an early 1900s wife... knitting and baking while my husband is working, and we all stay inside to avoid the plague... lol. Though I also started learning to code so I suppose THAT one is a little different :p

I'm so glad you've been able to focus on the positives!! Smiley heart

With all this extra time at home we've been cooking a lot more and doing lots of theme nights. 🍳 We also started a movie project years ago to watch all of the movies on AFI's Top 100 list that we were making incredibly slow progress on! Smiley laugh Most of the movies are 3 hours - so used to feel like a huge time commitment, but now we're picking it back up!
