Poor quality live video or great quality video the next day?

Molly, on August 7, 2020 at 2:38 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 15

Hello,

I went to my venue to test our our live stream for our wedding. I do not get much service out there and they do not have wifi.

As a virtual guest would you rather watch a spotty/laggy live stream or wait until the next morning and be able to watch a nice clear video?

Would you be able to do both options? Offer a live stream (even if it isn't great quality), but also record a good quality version to be displayed the next day? If I was a guest and had to choose between the two, I think I would pick the clear video the next day.

I was thinking about doing that. It might be the best option.

Next day esp what if there is a lag or something. If I had the money and FH was cool with it I would get a videographer to show people not coming the next day.

I'm doing a livestream too and this is my exact worry. My venue doesn't have wifi either so we will be relying on cell data. I'm still going to try for the live stream via Facebook Live, but if it ends up being super laggy my friend will probably just switch to recording, and then upload it to the Facebook group later that same day or next day. So as a guest, I would definitely just prefer a clear recording.

For me, I recently just decided to hire a videographer for a backup, and with this I'm super excited about it in case the livestream and cell phone recordings don't turn out that well. So now I'll also have a professional video with good audio to show all of our guests. Have you thought about this option too?

We do not have the budget for it or we would. I think I will end up doing a facebook live and have someone record on my camera.

Next day. That is what we ended up doing and I was able to edit the footage and add in some background music in places.
