Polyester chair covers - getting wrinkles out??

Hey everyone! We have polyester chair covers for our reception. They don’t fit tightly on the banquet chairs and are a little loose (we actually had to swap out the chairs for these ones because the original chairs at the venue were too WIDE for the chair covers and the covers don’t stretch). I am worried about how to keep and store the chair covers so they will stay wrinkle free, as there is a possibility we won’t be able to get in the day before and set up and just stream them... what do you think we could try?

Do they lay flat? I have polyester tablecloths and i just sprayed them with downy winkle release and then put them in the dryer on heavy duty 2 at a time for 15ish minutes. I laid them out to cool on our guest bed which is where they are currently. If your chair covers lay flat you could just stack them on top of each other and then transport?

Hi there!
I would also advise taking the same approach as Megan.
Spending some time ironing them until they are crease free and stacking or folding them to transport may keep creases to a minimum. I found some videos on YouTube about how best to fold seat cover to minimize creasing, you should check them out. Alternatively, you could hang them from those hangers with clips.
I would advise testing a combination of stacking, folding and hanging after ironing and pop them into the car when you run to the store or work, bring them back home and see which holds best.
It may also be a great idea to borrow a steamer from a friend or perhaps the venue (if you don't have one), to quickly fix any creases which occur during set up.
Are you doing the setup yourselves, or have you hired a day of coordinator?
