Polaroid Guest Book

I've never heard of this before but I think that is such a cool and unique idea! Would you have a Polaroid camera next to the sign in book? I could see that with a cute letter board sign or something. I think that would be so fun!

I'm going to do this too. Advice from my best friend who just did this at her wedding in July: she wishes she had gotten a book with A LOT more pages.

Also this from me: make sure it's an intuitive camera! My bff's was so complicated, and thank goodness I took photography in college because I could figure out the icons. And I got stuck taking pictures and teaching people how to use it for like 20 minutes

If you were unsure what size book to get for the notes which would be added there and then, you could use the other version you mentioned where guests write their note separate and you can put it together later in an album! You could cut up nice pieces of colored card and leave it available for the notes!

It's a cute idea but make sure you price out the film first! Film for Polaroid cameras can get very pricey

We are doing a Polaroid guest book as well. We are using an old ladder with twine and the mini clothes pins as a display (similar to the below photo). People can write messages/sign the white part of the photo. Later I will either put in a book or find another way to save them. We believe this provides a "visual"/ decor to our venue in a subtle way while ensuring we get a photo of everyone in attendance!

Going off of Erica's note above - I also planned on having a Polaroid camera until I looked up film pricing! It might have been feasible if I could guarantee each guest only taking one picture each, but people could take multiple so you need to buy enough for that.

In the end, I settled for having prompt cards for guests to fill out and I will put them into an album myself with pictures after the wedding. I already knew I wanted a photo booth too it will be easy to use those pictures to pair with the filled out cards. Just thought I would share! I still love the idea of Polaroids and I am sure your guests would too!

This is incredible! This is my favorite display of Polaroids I have ever seen.

We did one as well! Make sure you put directions down on how to re-load the film, etc. this was an oops on my part and because people didn’t understand, we didn’t get nearly as many photos as we had hoped for.

I also went to hobby lobby and found a photo book that you could insert more pages into and bout a bunch of scrapbooking paper that were to mine and my husband’s personalities (IE, I love flamingos, so, one of the pages was flamingo themed).

To the film comment, depending on which one you buy, you can get 3 packs of 20 for like $30-40 off of amazon!

I think it’s a great idea! Traditional guest books are so boring to my FH and I so we e been looking at alternative. I’m a photographer so any thing pictures is a yes for me lol

That's a really cute idea. I would go for clipping a note to the photo and then putting the book together later on so the area doesn't end up getting too cluttered

I recently went to a wedding that had this. It may have been user error, but we had trouble with the camera and it took a few tries to get a selfie with both of our faces.
Are you doing a photobooth? This could also serve as a great guestbook.

Make your own, in no way can this be captured in any one book! An open sketch book or even a blank page hard cover diary would be perfect! I would leave the comments open to the guests and have no pressure on a comment!
