Plus Sized Boudoir Photo's

Teddies are always a good option, especially if you're like me and you're not real big on showing off everything you've got in any pics, even ones for your man lol. Check Beall's Outlet (if you have one). They usually have awesome deals on really cute plus-sized neglige.

Oooh, another girl recently posted hers! Well, quite frankly, she called it plus-sized, but she I didn't think she was. One of the outfits I loved was a man's button-down shirt unbuttoned. She was relatively covered, but still SUPER sexy!!

I wanna get something like this, lol. I saw an etsy seller recently that sells something similar.

If your photographer is experienced with taking these photos they will also help you pose in ways that are very flattering to your figure. I have photographed some women for their husbands and they are a lot of fun to shoot. I would suggest asking them if you can bring music you enjoy listening to so you can relax a little more. These photos can be done with such class and will make you feel very sexy. Have fun at your shoot.

I agree with Brit's mom. When I have done modeling shoots, I make a music mix that fits the goal of what the photographer wants out of me, be it energy or sexy.

In your case, your photographer is going to want sexy, so bring some music that makes you feel sexy. I find Robin Thicke is really good at achieving this goal for me, especially his album entitled "The Evolution of Robin Thicke." If you want some really good ideas, tune into the Kieth Sweat show (who also has made some really sexy music) on your local R&B station. He plays what is lovingly known as "baby-making music" lol.

@ Breanne - your pics are amazing! My FH has asked for these and I am nervous about actually going through with it. But i would say wear something that you feel comfortable in.

Breanne...not to be nosey (please don't tell me if you don't want to) but how much did your photo's cost you? I emailed our wedding photographer a few weeks ago...actually after i first saw your pics on another thread---you look fabulous by the way! I didn't, and possibly still don't think I would have the self confidence to do it, but I am hoping it will motivate me to exercise if I have a date schedule for the pics. Anyway, they sent me the pricing. It is going to be $249 for 2 hours which includes 4 looks plus $175 for them to do my makeup. That price includes them putting them on a DVD so I would still have to pay to get them printed...then I am wondering where you go to get them printed? Is Walmart going to print pics of me like this? Just curious. Nicole, how much are yours going to be and what does it include?

Just a clarification...the 4 looks includes multiple pictures I just get to change into different outfits....i think. I need to call tomorrow.

@Alyson actually my pics didn't cost me anything I have my own photography company with my best friend and she took them for me. We charge $200 for our first pkg that comes with 2 outfit changes, approx 150 images, proofolio with 8 special edits, and the disk with printing rights. $65 more for hair and makeup. I did however do boudoir with my photographer that I am using for our wedding as well because it came with the pkg that I bought for the wedding (partner is in wedding so she could not shoot it) Her pkgs for boudoir started at $100 but you only get 20min and 1 outfit. I did not get enough pics with my photog to do a book so my partner and I decided to do pics of each other since we are both planning our weddings right now it will be the gift to our FS's. It all depends on the photog really some will be cheeper some more expensive, I don't think the $249 is to bad but $175 to do the makeup seems insane to me. Hope all that helped lol! @Kristina M. What you know about some Robin Thick and Keith Sweat! You go girl! Breanne H. Your pics are the bomb! I am going to steal your idea with the shirt and tie. Hope you don't mind. My photog has a special for $90 for like 10 pics high resolution and retouching which is what I need. I am also going to order maybe 10 more so i can make a book. They are $5.00 each.I am doing my own hair being I am a hairstylist and I am having my makeup done at 360 makeup for free. I may have to purchase a item or two. I just started to look for photographers in my area to do some either of just myself for my hubby OR to do a couples shot. I'm on the bigger side as well. I dont think I'll have a confidence problem... my problem will be how to get those faces down.

All of those prices seem VERY reasonable to what I've found so far.

I'm having a traditional female photographer do mine.

She has shot boudoir before,but only a few times and doesn't advertise.

It was cheaper this way and since I'd already talked to her and she seems like someone I'd be comfortable with it's a good option.

Mine are going to be $250 for 2 hours,as many changes as I can fit in and a 20page photobook.

Another Idea that I didn't put any pics up of is if you are a little worried about the whole plus size thing is doing a tshirt or jersey of your FS's favorite team, my biggest thing was not showing my tummy so that's why we did the pics we did! I'll attach one of the pics my photog for my wedding did in the Tigers tshirt. Have fun with it when you do it, it will make it feel a lot more comfortable!

Thanks Breanne. They photog did ask me to send him pics of myself before hand so he can work on the angles in advance. The t-shirt is real cute. I was thinking a V-neck wife beater for me. Thanks again for the help.
