Plus Sized and Taller than my FH... Engagement Photo shoot anxiety

Following! I'm plus sized and doing my e pics on Saturday (after being rescheduled four times since April!)

We had our photo shoot today and we did a lot of poses sitting. We had some sitting on a bench looking out over the water with the photographer behind us so you really only seen our shoulders and heads. We did some sitting next to a fountain. Some with him standing and me sitting.

I found it best to tell your photographer all of your concerns. They are professionals, trust in them and have fun. I was stressed thinking about the shoot to and today was actually very relaxing. Good luck.

My FH is shorter than me and we did a lot of different poses such as sitting down. My photographer did a great job of making the height difference not apparent. He's not a ton shorter than me but we definitely did a couple of shots to even it out which helped to make the pictures look great. Here are a couple of examples of what we did...

Yes, thanks both of you! I honestly love how cute and chubby his cheeks are. we have been dieting and loosing weight but I think he was hoping to get more off for the pictures.

We did some poses sitting down as well. DH is taller than me, I am plus size. Definitely tell your photographer your concerns and most importantly relax and have fun with it!

Thanks! My wedding dress was either a 22 or a 24 I can't remember which. I'm not I love with this picture but he loves it. Shows my size more lol

FH is quite a bit shorter than me. We did end up doing a lot of sitting poses but I think that may because we did half our shoot at a coffee shop.

If you have a good photographer he/she will know exactly how to pose you in order for it to be the most flattering.

I am a plus size bride too and had boudior photos taken this past Saturday. She was great at posing and that was the key!

Trust that you hired a great photog that will direct you in flattering poses. I am plus size, but every time I have pictures taken by a professional I leave saying, wow is that really me? I always feel better after I see the pics, hire a good person and let them work their magic.

My FH and I are plus sized as well. I'm more comfortable in my skin than he is and he worried horribly about our e-pics. We took e-pics on the beach and depending on where we stood, I was taller in some and he in others. I'm about an inch taller in no shoes but I'm planning to wear 4 in heels during the wedding. I'd love to see ideas of poses from the wedding.

Also, we've found that poses from the front work better for us than poses from the side.

This is a genuine concern of mine. I am plus size and FH is not. I am scared I will look much bigger standing next to him. I trust me photographer will help pose us properly but I am still worried that I will hate how I look in my pics

Im plus sized as well, but our photographer did a great job with our pics. My avatar is another one of our pics and I'll have to find the one with our dogs that I love.

FH is a smidge shorter than me. The photos where we're sitting down are my favorites. I have this tendency when standing to make myself look shorter by popping my hip to the side or slouching (habit of growing up taller than EVERYONE), so there were shots I didn't care for because of it. I know it's difficult to not feel self-conscious about it, but do you best to be confident in yourself. Your photog should be able to direct you into poses that work for you as a couple.

I totally get this. I was very worried about this before our pictures. FH is on the shorter side, we are almost the same hight and I am on the heavier side. I don't know how our photographer did it but our pictures came out great! We had a lot with me leaning into him.
