We were planning on doing plated meals for our wedding, but yesterday I was at a wedding and now I’m second guessing this. It was the first wedding that I have been to that was not buffet style and I was surprised at how long it took. There was a salad course and then an entree, and it took over 2 and a half hours. There was only 3 servers for 20+ tables and it took so long for the food to be served. You could tell people were starting to get very bored and antsy and I don’t want that to happen at our wedding! Our plated meal would be a salad course, a pasta course, and then an entree, but if it’ll be over two hours we would rather do buffet style.
Do plated meals usually take that long?
