Does anyone have any good tips for planning a wedding from two different countries? 😅

Does one of you live in the country where you are getting married?

If so, they'll have to do the majority of the in-person work (tours, tastings, etc).

If this is the case, I recommend that you send the person as a preliminary "scout" to the venues and then once they've found a good candidate, the other person plan a trip to visit. During that time that you're both together, visit the venue and meet with as many other vendors as possible.

If you have to plan the entire thing from abroad, I recommend following this same strategy and narrowing down your candidates and then planning a trip to visit everything in person. Some things are easier to book from afar (DJ, florist, etc), but I'd recommend visiting the venue, meeting the photographer, and doing a tasting in person!

Take lots of photos and videos, and facetime often! Most importantly, delegate based off of who can most easily accomplish what from their location.

Hey there, Shay! Are you and your FS planning a US wedding with you both living in two different countries? Or is one of you based in the US and the other elsewhere?

    Ask a lot of questions!

Ease of communication is also key. It's stressful enough to plan a wedding and combine with long distance, you really need vendors who are responsive.

    Good luck!
