Pretty much everything Smiley xd but we're eloping with immediate family so it's still technically not a lot to be done to begin with. Make deposits on the venue and our attire, buy plane tickets and reserve Airbnb. We decided to turn that trip into our honeymoon. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Ours is October 2020 and we too have already booked out venue which includes all the bar, food, cake and linens and ceremony. We have also gotten our Dj and I’ve been dress shopping although we probably won’t buy till later this year because I’m working hard to lose some weight and tone up

I’ve been discouraged in having a longer engagement because then I “have to wait to start planning” but honestly do whatever makes you happy. If you’ve picked the things and like them then you’re ahead of schedule! I just know for me if I did anything more than a venue at this point I would be afraid of changing my mind on things like my dress but personally I think the more time you have the better!

When you plan for your wedding ahead you get to enjoy being engaged. When you wait until the last minute you stress while being engaged.

My wedding is in August of 2020 and I already have my venue. I was told that it is a little early to start planning. I started to plan my wedding to because I don't want to wait the last minute or rush through. I want to be organized and I don't want to be really stressed out when my day gets close.

Yes mam! I agree with you! I am a very organized person and Deadlines and dates have to be set and done. I habe peace when things are complete. My wedding planner is my aunt and she has been doing it for 25 years , so I kind of picked up good habits from her lol

My venue does monthly tastings and I went to one last week and the manager told me that I have a very popular date so I am happy that I booked things early. The rest I can sit on for a while and grow my pinterest boards, but I am an organized person so waiting makes me feel anxious.

You are definitely ahead of the game but there is nothing wrong with that!! The more you get done now, the less you have to do as the date draws closer!

I'd say if you can and feel comfortable doing so much ahead of time, do it. Your ahead of the game, that should feel good.

The only thing I would worry about is changing your mind later.

I'm 5 days away from my wedding. I still need to get my marriage license (destination wedding so we can't get it til 24 hours before), flowers (coming the day before). And a bunch of little things like doing my nails, grooming my dog so he looks amazing as best man ha!, pack, etc.

I honestly see nothing wrong with getting a head start! you definitely are at an advantage getting a lot of big things out of the way and to use the time you have to get things paid and out of the way (hello payment plans!). you'll get to chill during the last few months of your engagement and hopefully save money since you planned things way in advance! you go girl!
