Planning: Groom's/groomsmen Outfits

Alexis Hosley, on June 11, 2019 at 8:23 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
Hey guys, so a few months ago we went to Men's Wearhouse and were looking at our options. They said our color (Malibu Blue) is a seasonal color and it comes and goes every so many months...

When is the best time to go look again to see what we want vs when should they go purchase/rent everything?.. We are just under a year now.

Also, when should BMs order their dresses from David's Bridal? Anything is helpful!

(We chose Men's Wearhouse because they are everywhere and so are our groomsmen).

The sooner the better if the dresses need to be ordered and/or altered. As far as renting, our guy told us 2 months before was good to rent their tux. He didn’t recommend any earlier just in case the guys lost or gained weight.

Your wedding is not for a year so to soon is not good cause a dress can only be altered so much. So if a BM body changes you could be in trouble I think 6 months out is good.

Hi Alexis! Each store will be the expert on when to order. I think for many DB bridesmaid dresses they say they can take 6-8 weeks to be ordered, and you want some buffer time, as well as time for alterations. As far as when the groomsmen's color will be in stock maybe MW's corporate will know what they have planned. It sounds like a spring or summer color to me but it may come in stock earlier if people need to order items for spring/summer weddings, but that's purely guesswork!
