Planning During Covid-19

Staci, on July 24, 2020 at 4:44 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
Planning a wedding during COVID19 has been a nightmare from hell. The unknown or uncertainty makes me feel so indecisive. From our destination wedding, to the bridal festivities and other reservations.

Sorry for the rant, just needed to vent. In general, how are other brides managing through all of this?tenor.gif

I am matron of honor at my best friends wedding that’s going to be in a couple of months and whenever I talk to her she has a sentiment where she’s not even sure if things are gonna happen So it makes her feel As if her efforts might not even come into fruition. All we can do is hope for the best. I feel for all the brides this year affected by it. I hope things go well for you.

I'm February 2021 and it can be pretty heartbreaking and frustrating not knowing what will happen, if anything can happen. FH and I have decided that no matter what, we will push forward as normal until told otherwise even if we're forced to cut our guest list. We've had so much trouble with our wedding plans pre-covid that we refuse to let the virus stand in our way.

If we are forced to completely cancel/postpone, we will definitely just elope with immediate family and close friends and hold a reception later on whenever that may be. We'll most likely skip all the festivities just to reduce stress. We would hate to keep having to postpone, not knowing if or when we'd actually be able to finally get married.

I'm a 100% with you. This pandemic has removed all the excitement and joy of planning our special day. I'm a January 2021 bride and I'm starting to think about postponing it....now the real concern is to when. No one really knows when this will be over.

Yeah, this is definitely not the ideal time to be getting married. We were most of the way done with planning when covid started, and it was hard to deal with the uncertainty of was going to happen before our date. The thing that helped the most with that was to come up with a backup plan we could live with so we wouldn't be devastated if (when) we weren't able to do what we'd originally planned.
