Planner making

Lynne, on June 23, 2019 at 12:42 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
We are planning our own wedding. So, I am putting together my own wedding planning notebook.

Should I use dividers? Should I decorate it?

I think it just depends on your organization style. I personally did not have a physical planner. I just saved vendors on The Knot and Wedding Wire and inspiration was saved to Pinterest. I just have a folder for the contract stuff for the venue that they gave me. The photographer and DJ contracts are digital. I am more organized using a computer and would have an awful time organizing things with a binder. If you like binders and printing stuff out, I imagine dividers would make things easier.

I created my own wedding binder because I prefer paper to a computer. I used dividers and have a separate section for everything. For example, I have a section for all venue stuff, another section for apparels, one for food, decorations, total costs, to-do lists, gifts, honeymoon and etc. It really has helped me keep organized but it does depend on what works best for you.

I did not have a physical planner but some of my friends I know would definitely decorate it like a bullet journal

I have a binder with pocket dividers for each category: venue, rentals, attire, flowers, DJ, photographer, rehearsal, travel, and misc. This is where I keep contracts, notes, receipts, and inspiration pictures. I also keep a flash drive of digital copies and photos.

I have a physical binder because I enjoy seeing something right in front of me. I used dividers to split categories such as calendar to-do list, budget, guest list, general planning sheets, and envelopes I glued to a page to hold receipts in order to keep track of spending. Oh and our honeymoon plans!

The Knot makes an amazing wedding planning binder that is already divided. You can order it on Amazon!

This is what I purchased! I like to be very organized and this was extremely helpful! I don't think I could plan this wedding without it! Lol
