I'm so sorry! That's awful! Take some time to just be sad, it's ok. But, maybe something like a park or a beach and then dinner in a nice restaurant may be an option for you if/when you decide to re-plan.

I'm choosing the date we had, I'll buy a white tent first. I'm done with planning. We don't live near water except the river... And at this point I'll do a trash the dress too. I'm so fried. I'm on date - something like 4 or 5... I'm tired.

That's totally understandable. And that still sounds like a great plan. As long as you're marrying the love of your life, it'll work out. It may seem so distressing now, but in the future you will hopefully be able to look back and laugh at how much nonsense you and spouse went through and still managed to get married.

Ah so sorry that happened. if you find an officiant or get someone that can be ordained, then you can easily do a five person ceremony even in your living room!

I'm meeting with FH now to discuss. I'll keep these ideas in mind. The good news is I think I figured out the dress. And there's a park we love... Feel free to keep sharing ideas. I feel lost.

We want Sept. 28th in Missouri. We're thinking public greenspace - like park or river. He'd like fewer people around (We are only a group of 5 and we're practicing social distancing - we'd like to not have strangers in the middle of the wedding). We aren't moving it from Sept 28th - period, end of story, no matter what. I'm going to order the high low dress in blush that I love. It won't need hemmed since I am short and it can drag like a train if needed. But, I won't swim in it (meaning it won't be too big and too long). Fortunately, I am an off the rack size. I'm working to move our officiant and photographer now. Let's hope they don't quit on us too. I'm sending the venue cancellation with the request for change, so they know that I didn't do this.

FYI. The venue said that they know that brides and family won't follow social distancing and masks, so they are cancelling all appointments until unmasked weddings are allowed. So, if you want to know what the big deal is about insisting that your wedding be unmasked - it just cost me my 5th set of plans. Wear the masks and distance. Don't do this to other brides. I know that my venue is not alone in being tired of having brides ask if they can be the exception to the rules. The answer is no and honestly brides shouldn't be asking. If brides and weddings don't start agreeing to rules more venues or places a bride would like to marry will be closed. Public parks can even make rules to not allow weddings. So, please, for the love of all things holy - wear the masks. Follow group guidelines. Do what is asked of you. Please...

Based on your previous posts, you might not have to worry about too many strangers if you are having a Thursday afternoon ceremony in a park, etc. assuming school is back in session and people are returning to work (or working from home). You can get take out from a favorite restaurant for a picnic afterwards or even look into renting a private room of your favorite restaurant. AirBNB might also be an option to find a nice outdoor setup or a beautiful fireplace to serve as a setting for a ceremony without worrying out unwanted guests.

This is awful, I'm so sorry. I've seen so many of your posts about trying to make this work. If only people would just wear the masks!!
