Planetarium ceremony?

Wow I love the idea. can you ask anyone who works there about the logistics? Maybe they can show you pictures of past ceremonies.

We looked into getting married at a science museum in town (ultimately didn't choose that venue) and one of their ceremony options was the planetarium. FH thought it was SO COOL but I wasn't into it at all. There was no aisle to walk down (you would have to walk down the side) and I didn't like that. I also just didn't like the idea of feeling like I was getting married in a movie theater. It's different for sure, and memorable, but wasn't for me. I guess I'm too traditional!

I looked into it but it was too pricy for my bank account. Sounds like a fun place!

It's the sloan longway planetarium in flint MI. they have a video but it's mostly pictures of outside the dome lol. were about an hour away so well probably only see it once or twice before the big day. i'm semi traditional myself but a friend is going to marry us so a church is out. we originally were going to get married in our reception space but there was no true aisle so we ditched that, haha. it's $500 for an hour which i think is so reasonable for what it is. My fiancé has no idea what a planetarium even is so we're

going to visit one locally for him to get the experience. i had one at my high school so i'm all about it.

I'm super jealous of this! I love our venue but I wish we would have consiered cool places like that. We have an aquarium near us abd that would have been amazing, however it's really expensive. But I also thought about this vintage movie theater as well, also expensive. Just wish we would have maybe dug a little deeper into an option like that. Go for it!

Ooh, could they have the sun set (mostly) right before the ceremony, bring up the stars, and have a shower of shooting stars at the kiss? Because that would be amazing.
