I completely understand your pain! My periods are just about always horrible on the first 2 days, so my only advice is to try to get on birth control pills now so you can at least regulate the cycle when it falls later or earlier in the month. That way, you might be able to adjust it to miss your wedding day/week.

Wouldn't it be nice to just stick a tampon in and have your period days be no different than any other day?

Today FW and I woke up and we had both just gotten our periods, realized that there is a high likelihood this will happen next month for our wedding, and laughed at our synced up luck. consider yourself lucky that only one of the two of you will be bleeding.

Goodness, life must be nice for those of you who can just throw in a tampon and move on with your day. If I don't manage my stress and diet carefully around my period I WILL get debilitating migraines that last 2-4 days. I am concerned about the stress of an impending wedding will throw me off and I could be in a lot of pain if I'm not very careful.

I started birth control a few months ago because I didn't want to deal with it during the wedding/honeymoon. I just talked to my doctor and she helped me plan it.
